This will have a huge negative impact on any type of games where Social interactions are mandatory for core gameplay, even outside of social hangout places.
While Roleplay games like Brookhaven won’t be affected too much due to only children playing those, games where many age groups get together will take a huge hit.
Emergency and Law Enforcement / Military games where coordination is needed for both roleplay and gameplay reasons will now have multiple player groups basically isolated ruining the intended experience.
E.g. how are you supposed to coordinate a squad of team members to plan an ambush in milsim like games effectively or inform other police officers of potential suspects without a jarring immersion breaking menu?
This basically forces those types of games to enforce some type of age Group only servers so the game can be played as intended. Or those games might aswell be dead for certain age groups…
You might aswell wipe those game categories out of the filter at this point.

The enshitification of Roblox is real.
For real, though, I hate where the platform is going. I’m all for safety, not at the cost of personal privacy we’re giving up to achieve it. I’d have been more than happy not being able to chat outside of my friends, but now that Team Create is being limited, a core feature of the engine, you’re basically removing the freedom of choice from developers. This isn’t okay.
I don’t even think this update will see much good come out of it. What will users do if they cannot adequately communicate on the platform you control? They’ll move off platform where you can’t control. We’ve already seen this occur over many years, so why are you still insistent on policies that you know will do harm?

same with this new feature implementation, like others have said already, we DONT want perfect moderation because that is not possible, we want a competent moderation, which currently isn’t, which is why we suggest a BETTER moderation

As I had said before, there’s probably a good chance that custom chat systems will become against TOS in some way, shape or form if they aren’t heavily restricted before or during this terrible update.

they’ve been improving moderation but noooobody mentions that because this entire damn community is full of hateballs.
Because not every game on roblox is using the list he made to keep them out, and it will take even longer to find millions of predators since Roblox’s moderation isn’t doing anything about these predators
