Can I start by stating that, unless someone addresses you in a negative way, you don’t resort to insults? Calling someone’s response a “low effort bootlicking reply” is just immature. Why did you feel the need to deliberately add that in? You state that it’s because:
Which doesn’t seem to be true at all. They gave valid and credible responses to your questions. However, instead of taking their responses in good faith, you section them out to make them look bad. It comes off as unprofessional.
I’ll give an example:
This is a totally valid response. Just because an FAQ seems obvious to YOU does not mean that it’ll be the same for everyone. Most people aren’t interested in the “technicalities” of Roblox announcements, they only care how it affects them, and that’s fair. Adding an FAQ that addresses this is understandable. Do remember that DevForum announcements are public, and that users that don’t frequent the forum will see them. What would be the value in faking an FAQ anyway? Roblox clearly knows this is frequently asked.
The user in question claims to work in customer service, which means they’d know how common such simple questions are asked. They make this connection, not to insult your age or lack of employment (if applicable), but to further back their claim. So it’s quite disheartening to see it brushed aside like so:
Resorting to insults like so, when the original response was in completely good faith comes off as rude. Instantly going defensive and accusing the user of being out to get you won’t get a conversation anywhere. Again, do realize that while the FAQ may be worthless to YOU, it doesn’t mean it’s the same to others. The FAQ is there for a reason.
Another example:
Personally calling out the person making a post is one thing, calling them “new” and “not as knowledgeable as Bitdancer” is so so disrespectful, not even “kind of”. It should be obvious how this has no place in a forum like this. You can 100% criticize announcements, but come on, don’t target it at one person. The whole “Here are your results” bit has got to go.
Instead of acknowledging this, you call it “Irrelevant”.
Next time, if you have a complaint, don’t point it at a single person. That “intern” isn’t the sole person in charge of this. Even if they WERE, there’s better way to address something.
Let’s be nice to one another. Yes, even including Roblox. This forum shouldn’t be a place of recycled hate under every announcement.
