I know there’s lots of threads about this already, but so far none of them could solve the issue or explain to my WHY it’s an issue.
I’ve created a new “game”, published it, set it to be visible to friends. Throw in a a dummy rig and add an animation (uploaded under my name before, so I merely added the ID) and activate Team Create to invite a friend.
From what I have read so far, this means he should be able to see the animation as well. Unfortunately, he doesn’t.
One potential issue I see is the animator object itself. Apparently the only way to create one inside the humanoid - using Roblox Studio, without scripting - is to create an animation (that is, activating the animation plugin and clicking on the rig). Even if that animation doesn’t do anything and doesn’t have any keyframe.
This creates the animator object inside the rigs humanoid.
But maybe it doesn’t really create it? Or only for me, locally? It’s stored in the game, I see it when I open it again. (Though I have seen objects disappear in Roblox Studio, so who knows?)
I tried finding another way to insert the animator object (apart from scripting), but I didn’t find any - the methods referenced on the Animator object page are deprecated, so I’d rather not use them.
