played your game, it’s pretty cool i like it a lot. You could’ve earned a ton more money with better monetization, i have so much robux but i wouldn’t really buy anything on the shop nothing is appealing. What do the builder pass and the rider pass give you ? Those seem the most interesting but idk what they give you, add descriptions. The donate button for built tracks is a genius idea.
The descriptions are near the spawn, but many people miss them (for good reason, players miss everything that’s not in front of them) and I haven’t added them in the store yet. Builder Pass gives you more build slots and some other exclusive workshop features, Rider increases earnings from the track completions and gives an exclusive board.
But in general, you’re right. I’m aware that games with similar CCU earn 5-10 times more, which would make Pipe Dash worth my time. However, it’s also a game that’s very hard to monetize that way (there’s no progression, I don’t want to add gambling or exploitative mechanics, etc).
Donations and Premium payouts were my hopes, but very few people tip tracks (not enough motivation for that) and low player count means low premium.
D1 retention is also a big problem. Too many players come into the game expecting something else, leave soon and never come back.
A small update from my side, it’s not about 10k it seems, but my retention and playtime are also very bad (players from sponsored ads), so maybe that’s what’s blocking the game from getting into recommendations.
I also have a theory that maybe Roblox algo updates on certain day of the week, so hoping for the best during the weekend.
