Any ways to reduce lag spikes when loading in lots of terrain?

Hi everyone!

So, I’m working on a map that uses lots of terrain, especially water (it’s a game about pirates, so I made a big sea).
When a player loads in, there are a few serious lag spikes: the roblox logo on the loading screen stops spinning completely, studio freezes stops responding for a few seconds,… but the game loads in fine afterwards.

Are there any ways to reduce lag when loading in terrain? I’ve been looking for solutions but those were all for loading in parts more efficiently, which is a problem I do not have.
