Applying clothing to R6 meshpart rig

I have a rig that is identical to the R6 rig, made from meshparts (has no humanoid).

How would I go about applying shirts and pants to this rig?
Does anyone have a version where the limbs are texture mapped to clothing images or anything that can help?

You aren’t exactly able to insert the Shirt and Pants Instance, but there seems to be another topic created with a potential fix. Try out that and see if it helps:

I’d rather avoid using surface guis for this as it would impact performance severely.

The only thing I could think of would be to paste Decals on the rig. Otherwise, without a humanoid, you’re pretty limited in terms of choices, as the Humanoid allows clothing and pants to be worn on avatars due to it rendering the behaviour of avatars.

I think the same effect could be achieved if the meshes I use are texture mapped to shirt/pants images. I’ll have to just do it manually in blender, as I can’t find a rig that has already done this.
