ArcBuilder - Simple building plugin for arcs

Latest Stable Release: 1.0.0 (5/17/2025)
ArcBuilder Download

Ever wanted to create an arc between two points but it took too long to to get it right? ArcBuilder will do that for you in four clicks!

How to Use

Once opening the plugin’s GUI, you are greeted with five buttons. To select the part you wish to use as the arc, press the “Select Part” button then select the part you want

The part to build the arc must be a BasePart (which includes meshes) and when creating, ArcBuilder will scale and rotate it along it’s longest axis (based off the instance’s size)

The two points can be selected the same way. They can either be a part or an attachment, only the position will be used. It will automatically update if you move the part and/or attachment so you don’t need to keep setting it

The arc can either be dropping or rising. Input a negative number to make it rise. Finally, the segment count can be any number greater than zero. Do keep in mind that higher numbers may cause lag depending on your computer

After everything has been set, ArcBuilder will display a preview of the arc for you. Once you are all good with it, then you can press “Build Arc” which will generate the real parts

It would be nice to see a video representation/image of the finished product, so I made one.

↓ Settings for arc below ↓
Template part: Regular Part
Point A: 45, 21.5, -103
Point B: 45, 21.5, -85
Arc Drop/Rise: -20
Segment Count: 10

Also, a few things to make the plugin better and to help confuse fewer people like me.

  1. When selecting a part, you have to press the button then select. It would be nice if you made it so that when you press select, and you have a part selected it would automatically choose the part.

  2. Add a setting to Generate the arches smoother, because when you create an arch (example attached above) it will have parts not filled in. And you might have to use another plugin like GapFill to fix it if you don’t want to use a lot of parts.

  3. Fix grammatical errors in the plugin.
    Examples:

And things I love about this plugin.

  1. The UI is PERFECT, The background colours for the textboxes & Textlabels are very fitting.
  2. The creativity
  3. The preview option

Added most of these changes, unfortunately not the smoother arc setting you can always add more segments and then convert the built arc into a mesh so you don’t have all those parts

I did think about this before posting; it’s not too convenient, but I see where you’re coming from.
Thank you for blessing us developers with this plugin!
