I am reporting a bug that is quite old and deemed fixed. The larger a project is, the slower the autocomplete is. In the following video, you can see me write some gibberish in two games, the first is a large codebase for Dangerous Driving. The second place is a complete empty, freshly created, baseplate.
Enabled Beta Features
Assistant Mesh Generatoin
Avatar Joint Upgrade
Dragger QoL Impr.
Face Capture
Import Queue
Improved Constraint Tool
Incremental typechecking and autocompletion in studio
Live animation creator
Multilayer Wrap Fix
New Studio Camera Controls
Next Gen Explorer
Next Gen Studio
Preferred Text Size Setting
Revamped Asset Manager
Script Sync
Studio Solid Modeling Impr.
Texture Generator
UIDragDetectors
Unified Lighting
Video Uploads
Expected behavior
It should always be blazing fast, just like in the new baseplate
We have been working on fixing this and this work is currently released under the Beta “Incremental typechecking and autocompletion in studio”. For comparison, is turning this Beta make the autocomplete slower, faster, or is it about the same?
Also, would it be possible for us to debug your place (sent over in a private message) to see what might cause the slowdown?

After testing, I feel like it’s about the same.

I’ve tried removing all my plugins, but that didn’t really help.
I took a look at your place file and I believe I know the root cause. This slowdown can be reverted if you unenroll from the New Luau Type Solver beta feature.
