This is a post about the damage, size, cooldowns, etc. for every spell in the (demo) game. When the real game gets released, everything from this post will be in the game UI somewhere.

Spells (STATS OUTDATED BUT MECHANICS ARE STILL THE SAME)

NOTE: SPEED IS X STUDS/SECOND

ALL OF THESE EXCEPT OVERDRIVE AUTOMATICALLY HAVE 100% EFFICIENCY DAMAGE, COOLDOWN, AND MANA COST SCALING

Ball:
Shoot a magical ball.
Windup: 0.5s
Size: 40x40x40 (sphere)
Speed: 400
Damage: 18 (27 including the after explosion which is a guarantee hit)
Mana Cost: 30
Cooldown: 3s
Scaling Affinity: 100% efficiency all (everything is affected 1:1)

Flamethrower:
Fire a stream of magic in front of you like a flamethrower.
Windup: 0.5s
Size: 10x15x10 to 32x64x32 across 0.375 seconds linearly
Damage: 40/s
Mana Cost: 60/s
Cooldown: 1.5x long as you had it on (max of 8 seconds on)
Scaling Affinity:

  • Size: X axis is 100% efficiency, Y axis (actually front due to oriented cone) is average of size and speed, Z axis is 100% efficiency
  • Speed: shares with size, Y axis/max range

Bullets:
Shoot 20 magic bullets.
Windup: 0.75s
Size: 20x20x20 (sphere)
Speed: 400
Damage: 6/bullet
Mana Cost: 8/bullet

Scaling Affinity: 100% efficiency all (everything is affected 1:1 except interval time between bullets lol)

Pillar:
Summon a giant magic pillar and crush your targets.

Temporarily do 1.25x damage and regenerate magic energy at 1.25x speed for up to 20 seconds and then lose health.

Health Loss: Up to 25% (having it on for the full 20s is 25% lost while having it on for half the time (10s) is 12.5% lost)

Cooldown: 1.5x as long as you had it on

Ram [UNFINISHED]:
Create a ram of mana in front of you and quickly fly towards your opponents.
Tangible Magics: Coat yourself in magic matter and telekinetically lift it to make you fly faster. This drains magic energy.
Intangible Magics: Exert your self physically to temporarily fly faster. This drains stamina.
Windup: 2s [ANIMATIONS NOT COMPLETE/NOT ADDED AT ALL]

Speed: 3x flight speed (tangible), 1.5x flight speed (intangible)

Scaling Affinity:

  • Size: 100% efficiency (increases ram size in every aspect)

Zone:
Dump some mana as a lingering sphere in the air.
Tangible Magics: The sphere is tangible and you can stand on it or use it as a weird shield.
Intangible Magics: The sphere is a zone which damages everyone inside.
Windup: 1.5s [ANIMATIONS NOT COMPLETE/NOT ADDED AT ALL]
Size: 60x60x60 (tangible), 90x90x90 (intangible)
Speed: 0.25s to grow to full size (starts at 0x0x0)
Damage: 24/s** (inaccurate for some reason, same as beam) (intangible), N/A (tangible)
Cooldown: 4 seconds
Lifetime: 8 seconds (not including the 0.25s of it growing and shrinking at the start/end of its life)
Scaling Affinity:

  • Size: 100% efficiency
  • Speed: None
Mechanics

Relative Velocity:

This mechanic makes it so that an attack’s velocity is added to your own. For example: If you’re travelling at 60 studs/second up and fire a blast directly above, the blast would move at 460 studs/second upwards instead of 400.

[NOT ADDED] If you’re somehow flying at 300 studs/second west and a blast travelling at 400 studs/second west hits you, you’ll only suffer 25% of the damage.

For tangible magics, this can either increase or decrease the damage a spell does. Intangible magics aren’t affected by the damage increase or decrease.

Blocking:

Press F to block. While blocking, your health doesn’t drain when you are hit by attacks. Instead, your “block health” drains.

Is Casting A Spell:

This thing exists to prevent movestacking. If you’re not a cultured gamer, here’s an explanation for you: Movestacking is the act of doing 2 or more moves at the same time. If the “Is Casting A Spell” part on your UI is true, you can’t cast another move and you get slowed down by 25%, meaning that you can only fly at 3/4 speed.

Elements (NO LONGER GETTING UPDATED, CHECK THE GAME INSTEAD)

Water:

  • Damage: 0.8x (ice is 1.2)
  • Speed: 1x (ice is 0.825)
  • Size: 1.3x (ice is 1.25)
  • Mana Cost: 0.8x (0.9x for ice variant)
  • Cooldown: 1x
  • Shield Damage Reduction: 87.5% (ice is 100%)
  • Special Effect: Depends if water or ice

Water = Soaked: 25% mobility loss for 10 seconds. if an ice move is used on a soaked opponent, freeze them.

Ice = Freezing: 12.5% mobility loss and bleed damage over time of 0.125x, both across 10 seconds. If hit on a soaked target, freeze them for 16 seconds but all attacks to them only deal 25% damage. The ice breaks after 1 hit.

  • Damage: 0.5x (DoT of +1.5x (3x of 0.5) damage across 4 seconds, total: 2)

  • Special Effect: Paralyzed: paralyze on hit for 0.25 seconds (can’t do anything except activate shield which counters paralysis but the shield is delayed)

  • Pillar disappears almost instantly and no CanCollide
  • Special Effect: Blinded: Blind enemies for 1.5 seconds (covers their screen with black and white light/stuff)

  • Special Effect: Poisoned (cause your opponent to hallucinate while DoT is active)
