You enter a room, well not a room but some place, it is an obby, you parkour on the walls of the backrooms which are scattered all around, if you miss one jump, you fall into a void, and die. If successfully completed, a secret room will appear

I mean, there is kind of a lobby. Basically when you join the game you get put into a server that is just a menu screen. Theres also the hub which is one of the levels.

The hub yes, the menu no. Basically the hub has doors to other levels on it.

I have no idea. Most likely early 2023 or late 2022. Not entirely sure what levels to have included in the public release but I’ll probably do a paid Alpha with only level 0. If I do it won’t be any more than 50 robux to play. It would probably be either 50 or 25 but the Beta will be open access to everyone. It’s just I’m not thaat good at scripting yet which is why I think it will be a while.
Is there an horizontal endless generation? I have made something like that with chunks in mine, however I’d like to change it due to the origin visual glitch and because between levels it would be better to access them with stairs vertically, to not ruin the level’s dispersion. I had in mind to change it to a cap like in Minecraft, since it would still be pretty huge and wouldn’t ruin the dispersion with vertical level access instead of horizontal.
No, I’m not using one. I have a specific plan for it and besides, some levels aren’t even meant to be infinite. I might use it on level 7 since that’s an ocean and making it by hand would take a loooooooooooong time.
Oh of course not for everything, perhaps some levels could be off the chart and have their own loading or even more rare by making them generate in pre-made chunks only once per server.
I was mostly aiming to removing the idea of “loading” between levels that have an endless feeling to it, and I succeded in that.
Now you might ask, how would someone even find such chunks in such huge map that is basically infinite? Well, between players or on your own, you’d be given tools to pinpoint locations through the use of items and the Backrooms’ canonic intranet, however, that would require some harsh cooldowns so players mantain a feeling of uneasy and melancholy.
