I actually didn’t know this was an issue for this long lol, just opened studio and beams weren’t working so I looked to see if anyone else was having the same problem.
We made some changes and the issue should be fixed now. Make sure you restart Studio.

Trails don’t seem to be working in-game, they’re either textureless or just don’t render at all.

Trails with LightInfluence=0 do not display their textures
There’s still an issue with light influence rendering, and studio just crashed when I was playing around with beam influence and transparency
I’m not seeing trails at all in my game now in public servers. Is this the same issue?

I’m seeing this problem in live games, with trail light influence 0:
light influence 0.01
0 should be brighter than .01, not invisible!
This really takes away from my skydiving game! oof (I’m fixing it with the .01 workaround)

If I’m not wrong then this should be a separate bug report because Trails and Beams aren’t the same.
This sounds like a separate bug. Please create a separate bug report so we can track it and assign internally. Please also clarify in the bug report if it’s a new bug and when it started. Don’t forget to include a placefile to reproduce the issue.
I don’t have time to open a new bug report, I discovered another clue, it only does this if a texture (WITH TRANSPARENT BACKGROUND) exists on the Trail. If i delete the texture, its visible. If i set lightinfluence to anything other than 0 its visible. If I use a texture that is solid(no alpha channel?) its visible.
This is also happening to me.

I have created a bug report for this issue (The latest Roblox update broke trails making them not appear or appear weirdly).
This bug is recent and has only appeared after the 641 update got released. Trails would either not appear at all on Windows devices or would appear weirdly on Mac and IOS devices. This bug also affect all games. This bug currently doesn’t affect Android devices as they haven’t received the 641 update yet. I have tested this on two Android devices one being on version 639 and the other on version 640 and trails appeared fine on them.
