BlueJay - Twitter Codes made easy

Can you manage the bot manually, meaning do everything a discord user can (Chat, Join VC, etc?)

Also on the sites Terms it states that “allowing us to access your Third-Party Account” I’m unsure on the legal terms, but does this basically mean access to a third party account (discord)?

The module you’re requiring isn’t even public, you do realize you can only require public modules, right?

thanks discourse for making me reply to some random guy instead of the topic

Yes, private module requiring was removed a long time ago and this module would need to be made public.

Did not know that. Fixing now.

I apologize, I just realized the codes aren’t directly tied to the guild. I can fix the permission problem now.

Fixed and deployed. Bots are now added with no permissions.

FINALLY got a hotfix pushed out to fix this issue. Seemed to be an issue with the router (next/router) so while I’m waiting for some help with that, I changed the code around.

TL;DR it works and shouldn’t break like that.

I feel like making a website just for this is kind of useless and overkill, I don’t see anyone really using it as it’s just easier to make an array of codes.

This resource isn’t really the most useful of resources. I genuinely think a generic Roblox code system is better than this. You have much more customization with a generic code system and have full control. There is nothing that this resource has that a generic Roblox code system cannot do.

If anyone knows something that this system features that actually benefits it, feel free to reply.

@alexfinger21 @oSudden I made BlueJay to avoid using an array of codes, because then to add a new one you need to enter Roblox Studio, then publish and restart all game servers. With my system, you just simply open the website, and add a new code. The only time you would need to restart the game servers is if you modify the code parser (i.e. to add a new code type).

I mean it’s good to practice making something like this, but from a practical standpoint no one would spend the time setting this up lol

Or you could just HttpService with a website that holds all the codes (or DataStores)

That’s literally what I’m doing, but I’m making it available for anyone to use without prior knowledge of setting up a webserver.

Google Docs can be used easily for storing files that can be requested via HttpService.

Yes but again that then requires a lot of setup on the game. Plus, you should never use something like Google Docs for something on Roblox.

Why?

It takes one line to get the codes and then you do have to implement you own codes system.

Hello there,

I believe the point of this product is to reduce the amount of work required to set up a Twitter Code system, as a way for developers of all levels of experience to utilize the product.

Yes, I’m sorry however i was just saying this as it is a better system for under 16s to use.

Yes, and as I’ve said, I am actively working to fix this age barrier. We picked 16+ as many countries in the EU have differing ages, with 16 being the highest.

Totally get it! Just seems as you’re hating on the product more than providing useful feedback. Also, I believe they’re working on a solution so people 13+ are able to utilize the platform shortly.
