Breakpoint marks will disappear if pasting a script from clipboard

Reproduction Steps

  1. Open a new baseplate
  2. Create a new script
  3. Set a breakpoint on the default line 1 (print)
    image
  4. Select all text
  5. Paste the text selected to the same script
    image

The breakpoint mark should keep appearing

Actual Behavior
The breakpoint mark disappears when pasting, however the breakpoint is still active

Workaround
Close and reopen the script

Issue Area: Studio
Issue Type: Display
Impact: Moderate
Frequency: Constantly

Could you let us know if you have the “Better Breakpoints” beta feature enabled?
I can’t reproduce this only if I delete the line before pasting.

Yes

Can you make sure there is more than 1 instance of Studio is running?

Only 1 instance.

I tested here and it’s happening no matter if Better Breakpoints is enabled or not.

Will be fixed in the next release.

Hi rogeroic_games,
Thanks for being patient with waiting for the fix for this issue. I would like to clarify further on what has been mentioned above. Currently there is a Roblox Studio team working on an overhaul for the Debugger, which will be going out into Beta sometime soon. This new overhaul fixes the bug that you mentioned, among other things.

Is any news about this beta to fix those debug problems?

Hi rogeriodec_games,
This behavior has indeed been addressed with the new debugger beta. You can learn more about the new debugger beta and how to try it out here .

Thanks, I will test.
I’m just surprised why I didn’t get the notice of this Beta since I subscribed to this forum to receive all notices:

I gave it up.
After almost 2 years, this will not change.
