the filter is even worse in arabic since people are using it for bypassing bad words now itās really strict that you canāt say anything without being filtered even normal words itās really strict please fix this

Update: I canāt say āare so gentleā, it turns my entire sentence into hashtags. Filterās not fixed.

The issue is most noticeable in Risk Universalis. Essentially any paragraph of genuinely good RP becomesā¦ ###ged. Just try to write some nice event in chat, and then ānuh uh uh! you canāt say that because you mentioned [word]!ā Unspeakable heresy. (gabriel joke?) And I think itās because they now use AI for their chat filterā¦ top 10 worst ways to cut costs.

Itās still problem. Iām making a game and Iād like to add words like ādamnā and ācrapā to the dialogues. But then I notice that it turns out these words are filtered for 13+.
Okay, letās say Roblox has made a stricter filter for such words, but it just worsened the filter in other ways. Just read above and you will understand which normal words roblox censorsā¦
Since I am Russian, the filter has become just as unbearable for me in my language. I want to say āŠ½Š¾ā (ābutā) and itās filtered, but I can swear freely and I wonāt get anything for it (this is an example, I donāt do that, I just noticed swearings in Russian in the chat)
And by the way, I canāt say āŃŠŃŃā, which can be translated in different ways depending on the context: āDevilā or āDamnā. This is not considered as swear word in any way.
But we Russians often donāt use the letter āŃā and write āŠµā instead, so if I say āŃŠŃŃā, it doesnāt filter. Really strange

Woah, a Russian? All jokes aside, I still donāt understand how the chat filter allows some of the bypasses like āle le le ŃŠ»Š¾Š²Š¾ (word) le le leā and āŃ;Š»;Š¾;Š²;Š¾ (w;o;r;d)ā. Atleast those are the most common bypasses, but still, I remember how suppressed Russian was in, say, 2022 or 23. And also bad news, the AI isnt limited to chat filtering, it also touches the moderation aspect too.
As for the ŃŠµŃŃ/ŃŃŃŃ situation, understandable for me. Me personally? I write ŃŃŃŃ, but I donāt speak Russian all that often, just so I wonāt be slienced, yāknow? :^

YES!! āLe le leā thing is really strange.
About āŠ§ŠµŃŃā and āŠ§ŃŃŃā - itās same words(literally one word), just different letter āeā and āŃā. But roblox filters first and not second variant of this word for some reason.

This is still an issue which needs to be resolved, Iām getting to where I canāt go 3-5 messages without abruptly getting CCPbloxād for no reason. Iāll be having a normal, harmless conversation one moment, and then the next, Iām suddenly unable to send anything without it getting tagged. And I have to use a bypass word (such as !clear) simply to be able to talk again.
Even when the tagging stops, I still have no idea what triggered it or what about my message was inappropriate.
Roblox needs to address this sooner or later; itās only a matter of time before the chat becomes downright unusable. And Iām over 18 years old, so I donāt even want to imagine what it is like for those with below-13 accounts.

As @CharlieForms said, this is still an issue, especially for roleplay games. Our game in particular has been plagued by the filter for so long and has made roleplay extremely difficult, which has harmed our player amount significantly.
I wish there was a solution where the content maturity label could simply determine how strict the filter is; regardless, something really needs to be done about this.

For sure, I canāt even say basic words in game anymore.

Because of āTrumpā. This word was ācriminalizedā on Roblox after the trump-bots incidents caused Roblox to do this. To keep it short: Pre-elections, bots wearing hats simmilar to the āMAGAā hats started to appear, and spam pro-Trump messages in chat, which prompted Roblox to ban mentioning political figures, and republican/democrat parties, and this chat filter update is still active as of now.
TL;DR - there were pro-Trump bots and Roblox did not like it.
Roleplay is almost impossible in some cases now.

Bumping because itās gotten even worse. Hopefully ROBLOX will do as they did in 2017 and dial back some of these restrictions and make the filter better at detecting intent. With the improvement of AI, this maaaay get better, though it might get even worse.

I personally think that a strict-as-hell moderation system is probably best for under-13s, unfortunately. This site has proven that it is not exactly the safest place for young children, so I completely understand why itās as strict as it is. However, I definitely think that itās also insulting to apply childlike restrictions on those who are age-verified 17+. I only play this game for roleplay. Making these games unplayable will certainly drive me mostly off the platform.

It was the filter being absolute buns, now we have this.
Plus, i got warned under that same system for saying āBlame Johnā because it was āpersonally identifiable informationā. Roblox needs a better management team. If theyāre going to keep pushing out crappy updates like this, i donāt see myself or any other developers lingering around long term.
If this continues, iām moving to Unreal. Iām tired.
