As a Roblox developer, it is currently too hard to ensure that Chromebook users will have a good experience playing games because of this.
The chatbox for chromebook users is very laggy when typing. It’s very hard to change what you wrote before pressing enter unlike the PC/Mac one. Although some could say to simply make it less laggy, it’s also very hard to see what you wrote and it’s difficult to copy and paste sentences into it for people’s convenience. Also when typing, it’s easy for the user to accidentally close what they were typing and lose the sentence that they were typing as it’s so thin at the top of the screen.
The current chatbox used is also meant for “mobile devices” such as android/iOS and is poorly designed to work well with a laptop.
Also, if you are a Chromebook user and you do NOT face this issue, please be sure to let me know so I can fix it. It’s also strange because the mouse DOES indeed work for certain features such as clicking on UI and the esc keyboard button works for opening the settings menu; so as the r key to reset.
