City Project (After 3 Months, this is the result)

The first image was when the map was completely empty, I had already said it before, (a little higher than this publication)

Oh my bad, didnā€™t notice it was a before vs after thing. Yeah I have no criticism at all then.

Did you use heightmaps or something to help you make the terrain or did you make the terrain yourself?
If you used the terrain yourself you should try random height maps or make your own itā€™s pretty fun seeing them generate but it might be hard to do and i also forgot what i was about to say.

I think clearly in the post at the top, it says ā€œbuilt from 0ā€, so you can get an idea,
apart the image 1 of this topic speaks for itself that it was not a generated map

Holy shoot. Some of these photos look like reality from a distance, and I really mean that (unless Iā€™m just going insane). You have some serious talent, and I love to see projects full of love and effort like this! Keep up the great work!

(With pleasure,
I recommend starting with the ā€œFlat Terrainā€ template, then you edit the terrain for the city, from there, you can start to plan the space, design the style of your buildings, etc.
(Excuse my late reply, Iā€™ve been a bit busy)

I have just been accepted into the forum and I have been following your work for a while, it was actually the first post that I saw when I logged into the DevForum for the first time. I just want to say that I love your work and it is absolutely amazing. I cannot believe that this is even on Roblox. It is so detailed. I guess 3 months doing hard work pays off! :star_struck:

Wow! Thatā€™s actually very nice, I also make city maps like you for roleplay and to enhance the roleplaying experience with many job courses in the game such as LEO, FD, DoT, Civilian, being able to work and rob banks, ATMs, etc. Your game looks very good from the layout itself, not to mention the terrain job looks amazing, you made so many different materials fit, same with the tree selections! I couldnā€™t find a use for those trees so I ended up using pine trees but youā€™ve managed to make it work. 3 months is normally the average time too, some people put in more like 4-6 months but it really depends how big your team is. I work with a team of two including myself so we get things done pretty fast on a big based map, and of course with quality so we can end up selling it in the future. Good luck!

Iā€™m glad to hear that, I always work alone as in this project, but it satisfies me

Yeah, from the start you have so many ideas you want to let go, then you start losing some motivation in the process but itā€™s always nice to see your work being appreciated and used once the finish product is out and you see players. Developing with no free models is also very easy, some people overthink it when itā€™s not that complex. When you design maps, do you use google images for the layout or use your imagination? I use my imagination to layout the world.

I always use my imagination, I never use Google Maps or anything like that)
