Exactly my friend! It’s just a bad version of discord!
It’s a pity that things have turned out this way at the moment… In my opinion, because of this, all the chances of foreign guys have decreased. And so who has this potential and dream, then realize them and good luck to you in this!
That’s wrong. Guilded always had their own problems before Roblox acquired then.
Just because Roblox bought them doesn’t suddenly mess it up.
Not everything posted on the DevForum has to be 100% serious, stern and professional - I mean, there’s plenty of very young developers who wouldn’t know how to follow these standards even if they were put in place. I never used Guilded and I don’t have any sort of experience with it besides hearing from my friends that it’s very, well, slow and unresponsive; however, I did joke about it, however, because the topic was brought up.
Hey, can we do this for high schools too?
I don’t understand the incentives of the ambassador program. How is this different from making a Roblox club, or practically any type of club, at your university? The only difference is you are somehow connected with other ambassadors?
The idea is great and all, but I seriously hope these kinds of programs would be designed to be also international too before you guys announce them so that others have a chance as well. Not every one that develops on ROBLOX is based in the U.S.!
Sorta graduated this yea so, yea. College curriculum is pretty lack luster, so this may either help, or completely push students off track and ruin their technology careers by educating/pushing them into an insecure position where they a likely to be taken advantage of.
No, cannot do it for high school.
I agree with a lot of what people are saying about this, it’s not valuable to the ambassador and it’s just a way to help ROBLOX.
ROBLOX, if you had one ounce of common sense this could maybe be a viable thing to do. Instead you turn down your own incredibly respectful developers that have suffered ever since you started to be more corporate and chucked handfuls of robbed money down investors pockets to then take their inexperienced, stupid ideas with no question about the morality of them.
This will backfire in the long term, absolutely no one will respect a “ROBLOX Degree” if you act like any other corporate company trying to invent this metaverse something that will NEVER BECOME A THING. Get your heads out the gutter and get new people on your board, they have no idea how much they are ruining the image of ROBLOX.
Went off a little there…
Ah ok. I hadn’t checked for a few months
I’ve seen a lot of negativity towards this and fair points, but i’m gonna be honest. I’m only worried about the fact that i’m just gonna get made fun of over this. When people think of roblox, they think of a kids game. Not a platform that tries to be more than just gaming for small children. There’s been some pretty high level stuff around and on roblox which has made a big positive impact towards to the community. If you take the average person who has either heard or even played on the platform, they most likely won’t consider roblox some kind of college program or career. Not saying no one would think to give this a chance, but chances are that odds are very low in this case.
Outside U.S anytime soon pleaaaaaaase
Anti-metaverse forever. Keep promoting the goofy metaverse games at the top of your front-page, but the actually decent indie games will still be the ones with 100K+ CCU.
But those are literally part of the Roblox metaverse, just by virtue of being on the Roblox platform…
Ask any of these developers and they’ll say they aren’t part of the metaverse.
Rainbow Friends cryptocurrency when?
My old school banned the site Roblox as many other places do.
lol theres 0 security for computers/wifi in our school
