For all the valid criticism, this is a pretty silly comment… the entire point of this is “scaling freedom” in chat based on the age of both parties. No filters for adults talking to other verified adults seems very reasonable, especially given the biggest impact of removing the filter will be letting us use basic words like “goofy” or “stupid”.

Absolutely not Roblox. You don’t understand how Roblox is like a social media where you can find other friends, connections are when you are close friends with someone but most likely you aren’t going to be playing with only your friends. Connections sounds like more of a business way of saying friends, I get you want investors and companies to use Roblox for their work but this is absolutely not the right way to do it.

First of all, this update is encouraging dating by allowing 18+ users to express themselves without any restrictions. Roblox historically wasn’t a dating app; it was a platform where people of all ages could play or create games.

I’d be comfortable if users could request to “connect” with eachother on the Talent page as “connections” for business purposes but calling platform friends as “connections” feels off
