If they are going to introduce dating, they will do it wether the community likes it or not. The best thing we can do as a community is provide feedback on how to do it properly and keep the kids safe on the platform.
This includes opening a new support department primarily for reporting predators, the moderators of this department would have to do a huge deep dive on everyone whos reported through it.

Some people have a condition called GHD, as a result some people physically look around 9/10, and this will never change.
How will the system take this into account?

This isn’t a Roblox-specific issue, multiple other platforms just have no filter in general. Nothing stops these people from just temporarily making a game with filters disabled and asking someone to join them, I feel like the fact that they’re putting restrictions on it is a good thing.
It hasn’t been a gaming website, it’s a platform that just so happens to have games on it. Dating features will be id-verified 17+

i hope that roblox will restrict in relation of dating, as it puts in danger ANYONE who’s around this platform

As I just read the article is that they will block access trusted connections to users who are under 13.

I get that but it’s especially something you have to care about and be extremely aware of when your primary audience is children. Adding platform level features to facilitate “dating” is only going to create more victims, especially when we know how terrible the moderation is (and its not getting better idc what they say, actions speak louder than words)
Why do we have to live in a world where they add something so obviously awful?

Yes, trusted connections is what allows you to access unfiltered chatting and party voice chat. (locked behind QR Codes or Contacts, so you’d need to know the person in real life or already be talking on external platforms) Normal connections is just friends.

I’m pretty sure most platforms that include a messaging service have a support department and an option for reporting adults targeting minors. I know discord definitely does, I’m unsure why Roblox hasn’t implemented this already.

Fully convinced that everyone at Roblox is completely out of touch with this community because this should never have made it out of the pipeline. Nobody who actively plays Roblox is in favor of this BS. Listen to user feedback for once and don’t do this.

I am pretty sure, Roblox does not care about having something like this at all. They only focus on what the investors or management wants, but not what the community wants at all.
