yes! totally right here, its a huge problem that they fail on the clarification, and with the 17+ rolling out, this most certainly needs to be addressed, especially when allowing the models into the marketplace too

Will users who are 17+ and verified be allowed less heavily moderated voice chats in games that are 17+? If not, this feature would be great. Right now there is little to no incentive to even try to make 17+ games because of the heavy moderation. I tried to upload an asset for a game with āBarā in it and it got moderatedā¦ Itās almost as if we canāt even make games that are intended to be 17+ without being scared of moderation.

Roblox, unfortunately for all parties involved, doesnāt have to care.
They are not legally at fault because this action would be identity fraud, and would instead be interpreted as a crime committed against the Roblox Corporation by the ākid(s)ā in question.
Whether the people who did ābypass verificationā are actually under the age of 17, however, is a debate for another topic.
For legal reasons, the author, @CatzRule_81, does not support nor condone the action(s) of identity theft and/or identity fraud.

17+ games are available right now, not 17+ assets. This is just phase one of the rollout, but then again, we know how Roblox is with release dates/schedules/plans.

Please could we get some clarification on this? Bingo is āgambling basedā but is used as an example for something that is strictly permitted.
If I were to go down the route of making it so you always win something without an intrinsic value similar to an arcade, would that be fine?

Gambling is allowed by the laws in Turkey (if the problem is gambling), only casinos are banned.

It has been 2 weeks since this was first announced and there is still only a single PR-laced response that explains absolutely nothing. The reply does not āanswer many of the questions askedā, it just rephrases the thread. There needs to be moderation staff actively engaging and communicating here, given the nature of this change.
I am not asking for much here. ā2 weeks is too short, give them some timeā is not an acceptable deflection. There are a lot of small or clarification concerns that need to be addressed to stop developers from being subject to hair trigger moderation ā Iāve already been contacted regarding this and it shouldnāt even be my job because Iām not staff. It goes to show how unclear and arbitrary some of these policies are and someone needs to communicate.
A catch-all non-response is not going to work when developers would love to consider developing experiences for more mature audiences but when Roblox itself encourages breaking the very rules it set up and doesnāt have full support for such an approach, this could be fatal to the livelihoods of some developers. This needs careful direct address. Enough blanket non-responses.
Now, if I am jumping the gun and the reason for the lack of response is needing to review policies further with the policy teamā¦ I donāt understand why those werenāt clarified from the outset. Roblox should know how seriously its developers take moderation concerns due to the issues raised in the past and present about it. This whole thing needs more work at the drawing board. Donāt be eager in sending this out without the proper support and tools necessary.

I have a feeling that there is some underlying legal reason other than just an NDA that Roblox isnāt letting on about regarding their relative silence in this thread. For now, itās best we wait for them to make an update thread in a few months. Worst case scenario is that we donāt get an update until late 2024.

lets start with the basics: dont make your guy lose a gut.
Iām pretty sure severe body harm is like, realistic depictions of a guy losing an arm or getting decapitated by a freaking guillotine. I doubt that they would prohibit stuff like some small bleeding or a cut. Thereās probably more to that, but the big rule is, if he loses a limb, itās probably gonna hurt. Severely hurt.
I do agree that the details here are pretty fuzzy, but thatās my thought.

Just before I was sure off leaving the Community as a Developer, my biggest wishes come true!
I hope there will be more precise words on what is and what is not allowed in terms of swearing, alcohol aswell as Voice Acting

If intense violence is now allowed, what counts as severe bodily injury?
This is rather confusing, and like usualā¦ disappointingly vague!
Why would any developer cut themselves off the majority of the plattform only to be able to put more detailed blood in their game, what about limb loss?
I can understand not allowing organs to be shown to a degreeā¦
but there could be more clarity.
It has to be worth it going 17+ in the end, and it should go beyond just being able to portray more detailed blood, id like to know more in the end on what is and what isnt allowed, profanityā¦ alcohol use, topics the story can discussā¦ and voice acting

Starting today, 17+ experiences have launched and are discoverable for eligible 17+ users in their recommendations. Weāre currently live on all platforms except for iOS.
At this moment, 17+ experiences are unavailable in Korea, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey.
Those who are 17 and older and completed Age Verification are able to enjoy these experiences.
