Creating GIFs ingame?

Posting this to see if there’s any way to create in-game Gifs?
I’ve seen a few games such as the old Pokémon Brick Bronze use some and was wondering how would one go about it?

I know there’s the basic inserting them individually then progressing through them, but is there a way to upload them on a somewhat sprite-sheet and filter through it that way?

Yeah there is a way to create “Gifs” in Roblox. You’ll need to create a bunch of decals of the movement slowly. Then script a script that will switch the decals fast… That’s how I know how, and seen some other games used.

How do games like Ultimate Boxing create those animated intros?

You just need one image, slice the ImageLabels and offset their image. It’s pretty similar to the principles behind spritesheets so it might help to look up threads on those if it’s still confusing.

How do I iterate through a spritesheet?

Usually this would involve some sort of multiplication. E.G: (n being the sprite number, starts at 0 in this code) Image.ImageRectOffset = Vector2.new(n*SpriteSizeX,0) But, this would not work for the Y axis, and you would add on a function that automatically adds to the y size and takes from the x size for every line: local NumberX = n*SpriteSizeX local n2 = 0 while NumberX > MaximumX do NumberX = NumberX - MaximumX n2 = n2 + 1 end local NumberY = n2*SpriteSizeY Image.ImageRectOffs…

It is quite easy to do once you understand it.

Thanks! I’ve attempted to make some in the form of a sprite sheet before but it came out pixellated. Anyway to keep the 1080p?

I’m not sure, sorry, you’ll have to keep searching, haven’t used spritesheets for a while now and have forgotten most of how to use them on Roblox.
