Crecent Sword Slash Effect

When i try to double side it, the decal rotates, making it hard to align it, is it possible for you to put a png file I can rotate in photoshop?

top Decal onto the Left : rbxassetid://5700002681
bottom Decal onto the Left : rbxassetid://5700002681

you can change color one of those so you can stylized it to what ever you wanted

here is something that you can add to the tutorial. since it is possible to make advanced texture animations, It’s possible to make a spritesheet, and animate it using offset, creating a much better slash effect

Beams aren’t good for sword slashes

I actually spent 10 hours on a slash effect spritesheet, and turned out EXTREMELY high quality

its better if you use mesh like if the slash to the right just clone add debris item to what direction the animation is

do you know how to fix these?

seam the middle of the sphere and unwrap it

I really don’t understand the UV Wrapping at all, I watched the blender guru’s videos but I still cant figure out anything. Please help!

If you’re asking how they curved it, simply go to filters then distorts - polar coordinates, if you want to know how they faded on the edges, they simply used the eraser tool.

I’d also like to understand on how to do this any help is appreciated.

I’m not 100% sure what to do after but what I have done is put a seam on the outer rim of the flat sphere making them separate (just like in the image of the post)

I am too, stuck at this part, I dont really understand what to do after inserting the image

just seam the center of the sphere and uv unwrap it

I think this works pretty well, but flipbook particles are in my opinion just easier to use instead of needing to make the mesh and the texture and so on. The problem with flipbooks is then that is looks a bit wierd from the side, but i mean, everyone got their own preferences

This was before they added flipbook particles my friend, you’re a bit late to the party

PLS put this on Toolbox, I need this. Jk, tho it would make my life better.
