Yep, from Safari iOS (15.4.1) the DevForum favicon doesn’t appear, but yes in other forums based on Discourse…
These aren’t really good examples to compare with btw because all of these sites either do not have a subdomain (e.g. twittercommunity.com) or the subdomain has the same favicon as the top-level site anyway (e.g. discourse.org and meta.discourse.org have the same icon).
Either it’s fixed or I just can’t reproduce it.
Think it’s fixed now. On all my browsers I see the proper Icon for the DevForum.
Doubt that there’s a release candidate.
Is this just on the Mac? Or still on both?
Proper Icon is showing in Chrome:
But not in Safari:
PS: The Roblox developer page (developer.roblox.com) has the proper icon:
I still see the proper favicon on Safari (iOS 15) and Edge
If you’re hav9ing issues on your iMac, then I cant help you, check it on your iPhone, and also the other way around.
I don’t. Pretty interesting. (Even on iOS 16 and macOS 13…)
You’re using the plain 13, right? I’m using the plain 12, that could have something to do with it, or the fact you’re on a beta of ios 16, and my guess is the beta of Ventura
It was doing it on iOS 15 and macOS 13. Also, what’s Plain 12 and Plain 13?
12 & 13, not pro, max, or Mini
I will check on my iPad rn
I kind of doubt it, since my iPad still shows normal Roblox favicon, and my old SE 2 did as well before I sold it. And yeah, I was using the normal iPhone 13.
Weird, my iPad isn’t even showing a favicon, I just see “R”, not the Roblox or dDevForum logio
Also checked on all of my browsers
Edge:
Chrome:
Firefox:
Safari isn’t on Windows (duh)
This is not a bug? Just do some digging around in the code, you’ll find why:
Nevermind, just found out that the apple touch icon is just the studio icon, my bad. Also can confirm on my iPhone SE 2020
I went to those links, and they show these images:
However, my Favicon is this:
Y3p, I checked on my iPhone again and it has the roblox favicon, probably its just pulling the wrong mage in the codeblo k above
nevermind about the codeblock I saw the edit, again I think it might just be pulling the wrong I age
I can confirm that this is a problem with the developer forum, if you go to https://forums.unrealengine.com, it displays the correct favicon. (only site i could find that had a different favicon.)
Just checked that site, and it’s indeed discourse but it’s extremely customized, while Roblox is running Discourse with pretty much default and recolored themes. that could possibly have something to do eith it although I’m most likely wrong with that
I’m a pretty familliar user of Discourse and I couldn’t tell if thst was discourse until I clicked on a post
