Currently, in the Developer forum, the “Solution plugin” is enabled for Community Resources and tutorials.
Community Resources etc. are not help categories, so I think the DevForum has to disable the solution on these category.
Also, because of this feature, if resource is plugin, some people will mark the update information as solved. so should be removed on resource and tutorial.
The “Solution” plugin can be disabled by category.
There’s nothing wrong with marking a solution for an updated plugin or tutorial if you want to highlight the update. The same applies in community tutorials. For example, you may want to create a reply accumulating everyone’s suggestions and mark it as a solution to highlight the importance of their replies, and use that to improve your tutorial. Is there anthing wrong with that?
Why does this even matter to you? It’s not like people are going to look at your solutions and think “oh geez louise”, this guys smart. A solution is something that’s important and of value benefiting others. I think updating a plugin or resource does that.
I disagree, a majority of users have a common sense. If the resource developer or tutorial creator has marked one of their posts as the solution, one could only believe that it was a highlighted update to the resource or tutorial.
Don’t exactly see what the problem with this is either, it’s simply just a green mark under a post.
