Stuff like this is why I am scared of releasing resources sometimes. I know that I need to be able to take advice from other people but it scares me that I would be attacked if I released a module that was slightly inefficient for example. Maybe if I released anything slightly similar to other people they would get mad because it is like their idea, even if I never heard of the idea and never met them before.
I am posting this here as advice that I probably wouldn’t hear from myself, but advice that is definitely needed. Don’t be shy in sharing resources, as long as there is 1 download from a user that found it useful it still has purpose. When you share your ideas you will get criticized, but this criticism is the one that will help you grow. Not only like a builder or a scripter, but as a person too.
Might be off-topic, but for anyone that is reading this thread and felt like me too, I tell you to not be afraid and to not feel discouraged.
Didn’t post to comment about this, I was just giving a heads-up to everyone that felt like I did. I only mentioned it because this is a reason that often causes fright.
A long time ago I made a tutorial on the DevForum. It was my first, and it was generally horrible. There was this one person in the thread giving nothing contributing at all. All that person did was just insult my post, and even me. I got constructive criticism from others in the thread though, so now my tutorial is much better than how it first was. But since then I’ve been afraid to create a tutorial post, because I’m afraid of the destructive criticism I can receive from others. I have plenty of knowledge to share, but in the end I decide that its not worth making a tutorial in the DevForum anymore because of how toxic people can be.
Yeah, I see what you mean. Some people can be too harsh to others, Even though we should welcome the new developers, Most of us don’t, And its a sad reality of the devforum community.
Yep. I’ve been wanting to make a resource for a while, but in the end I decide that it’s simply not worth it because lots of people on the DevForum don’t seem to know how to give constructive criticism anymore.
Its extremely disappointing that I have to say that.
You can’t say it’s a worser version until you try it, and if you’re just saying that to make people use your service, just stop, if you’ve actually tried the thing and find it bad, give some constructive criticism.
Why would we trust RBXDomains more, frankly with the attitude of their staff, I am disgusted. And even if the owner of Bloxy.Pro is a teenager, who tells me the owner of RBXDomains isn’t ?
It has a new, not template privacy policy, as I mentioned in my last post
Looks as sketchy as your service in my opinion.
To conclude, I’d just like to say I respect both services and I think they’re very good, we should just stop the hate, but all RBXDomains staff and users replying here and the insulting, hating, and more on their discord server and on the Bloxy.Pro server is really disappointing, even though they still advertise as professionals. Bloxy.Pro maybe also didn’t act particularly well, but as far as I know, they’ve just had a template privacy policy and had a user that made ddos threats which they banned as fast as they could, it’s not nothing, but it’s not too chocking either.
scroll up for once, I didnt do that. I gave my opinion, like you do in community resources, and it wasn’t a good one sadly. Was not trying to convince anyone until yall kept replying to me.
done
research.
play of words, meant a template looking policy
look at bloxy.pro
so do we
same
did that anyway
when, opinion is an opinion, I like both services but prefer rbx domains, and everyone cried abt my honest review
a dev forum post does not conclude that the service is sketchy.
yep
to conclude: the argument already ended and I had to say the same thing again.
have you ever tried it, seems hypocritical of what you said here
The fact that you’re arguing about petty things is saddening. If someone makes a new product/service they shouldn’t be attacked by an already well established product/service. You need to understand that people will judge your products and services off of what you have to offer, the price, reliability etc.
People will decide on their own which product they prefer and want to use.
You shouldn’t have to tell people not to use a competitor, you should already have features which they do not have and be more professional and likeable. Screaming, and at this point, blatantly fighting won’t make you anymore respected. It is immature and unprofessional.
You should be celebrating your products rather than attacking someone else’s.
I think that if you can’t give constructive feedback or show support, you simply shouldn’t respond. In no way does attacking someone improve the situation for anyone. We should celebrate new talent.
I agree with you that at the moment, it is quite sad. I hope the future can help us improve.
First off I was talking in general about the response so don’t take it personally. In terms of you attacking Bloxy.Pro, I think you’re manner is provocative. There is no way that insults can be regarded as constructive criticism.
You are entitled to an opinion. You could’ve expanded on why you believed this rather than promoting a competitor.
I am confused. Promoting a different product in no way helps this product improve. If you don’t trust them, you could explain why and talk to the developer at the time as to how they can improve trust with you.
You, again, are blatantly attacking Bloxy.Pro.
For someone who claims they aren’t attacking Bloxy.Pro, you seem to be doing that very thing.
You are meant to be judging the product not the developer’s age? I’m sure skill and the end product is more important.
Seriously. Why are you obsessed with their age?
I think you should stop and think before you send feedback. If you genuinely wanted to help Bloxy.Pro improve, you would have justified your position instead of attacking them and promoting your preferred service. You seem to be blind to the fact that there is any difference between constructive feedback and insulting a service.
If you have no intent on actually helping out the developer of Bloxy.Pro, why are you reviewing it?
Bloxy.pro and RBX DOMAINS Have been fighting for a while, bloxy.pro being the only competitor to RBX DOMAINS. This naturally means that if rbx domains knocks bloxy.pro out the ring, Then 1 gets it all. Its like a race to the treasure. What I said was basically trying to get people away from this company, as from my own experience, using an outdated ticket system, waiting hours until you can get a website up, and a lot more. just makes life harder. Go on rbx domains, Request a website, and get it under 30 minutes. the choice is yours. My review, although a little harsh, Especially on the replies, are just my thoughts. No, I would not trust a random teenager with my data, IP address, And a lot more. Yes, I Would trust an adult, with a lot of experience with websites. But thats just my opinion.
please leave me out of this now i promise i cant care less
My word as a possible user of both services is simple. Just show off the most you can of your product benefits by yourself, without comparisons or accusations. It’s the customer, the one that knows its own interests and will be able to decide based on its criteria.
I can only remain skeptical about all these claims that you’re all doing, alt your fire on this battleground, focus on your service.
If you are receiving direct DDoS threats against your service, I suggest immediately consulting with an attorney and sending the individual a cease and desist letter. Talking about it on a forum or Discord is going to escalate the situation.
