Does Anyone Have Any Building Tips?

Good Afternoon Everyone!

A couple days ago I decided I would put my current game aside for a while and work on a new project. This new project is a “horror” game. And horror games tend to have lots and lots of building in them. Does anyone have any tips on the building of it and how I could actually make it look nice? (I also need realism but that’s for another day lol)

Also a small question, where do people get their textures from, do they make their own, or use textures you can find in the toolbox? (like these 2 I found) I would love to use them but I would feel bad or wrong using something that’s not mine, unless a lot of people use them.

Don’t feel bad to use textures from toolbox, they are made for you to use. Some building tips are:

  • Not really a tip but if you need to go close up to your model to add something, hold shift to go close slowly.

  • Instead of moving a block precisely to be on top of another block, grab the position and paste it into the block you want to be on top of the other.

  • If you don’t model on blender like me, archimeds will save you so much time. Be careful looking for it though, there are many fake ones.

There are many tips and tricks on YouTube, I suggest watching those.
