roblox can you do something other than using ai for everything and also forcing some random grown man to take a pic for a platform thats meant to be for kids like this isnt really helping your platform at all really

I just wanna point out something. It’s not just that you’re uploading your face to Roblox, but the fact that you can’t delete it.
Whenever you upload a Decal/MeshPart, you’re able to archive the asset later on. This prevents the asset from loading on the website, in-game, and in Studio. Nobody will be able to access it.
However… you can’t archive the Image/Mesh assets generated through this avatar creation system. They will stay accessible to everyone forever.
And yes, you can “archive” full avatar bundles, but archiving an avatar item is completely different to archiving a development item. Archiving an avatar item just causes it to disappear from the website, but anyone who owns the item will still be able to wear it, and all of its underlying Mesh/Image assets will remain accessible.
So if you use this feature… you’re basically acknowledging that your face will stay on Roblox FOREVER, and could possibly be accessed by anyone with malicious intent. You will NOT be able to fully delete it in the future if you ever decide that you regret uploading your face.
Say you upload your face to generate an avatar. Somebody else then loads your avatar into Studio and saves the place file. Then you regret the decision and archive your avatar bundle to prevent other people from finding it… oh wait! Somebody already saved a copy of your avatar in Studio, and there’s nothing you can do, because you can’t delete the avatar’s underlying Image/Mesh assets!

that would be because AI progress is substantially easier to make considering the amount of open source tools you can use to build “new” ones and also roblox’s currently closed source solutions. This photo to avatar is basically the same as all the other AI features they have planned but instead of making a model from a prompt it just uses something to decode the image into a prompt, pass it onto the model making ai and then lets you upload it as an avatar item.
I don’t see a reason for this to even exist.
13 and up users are going to be able to use this?! With all the drama going on around about Roblox mishandling child safety this should definitely be rethought. You should not be allowing children to essentially parade around their IRL appearance on your platform.
How are you going to prevent users from uploading pictures of people who aren’t themselves and don’t consent to having their image used? How are you going to prevent users from using realistic, but copyrighted characters like screenshots from live action movies and television? How are you going to prevent users from uploading pictures of political historic figures like say Donald Trump, Joe Biden, etc? I just don’t see this working out in any way for the platform or users.
Looks very uncanny. That’s used to be a troll-type avatar. Now Roblox thinks Rthro is the future when we all like R6 and regular R15
Referring to the requirements, which exact ones are part of your “select countries”?
From what I’ve seen, the community overwhelmingly prefers R6 and R15, with Anthro rarely used. Could someone help me understand why we’re still investing resources into avatar features that no one wants?

The avatars created have the wrong accessory scaling settings so they dont work well with accessories. Other than that it’s pretty neat.
WHO ASKED FOR THIS??? Isnt it doxxing at this point? Can we all collectively agree to throw whatever higher management on Roblox HQ from window?
Its insane dating is less punishable on Roblox than gore. Most good gore games getting bullied by questionnaire and its putting restrictions on creativity. Kids on GTA V Online more safer than on mainstream Roblox games.
If this releases, someone is going to do something really bad with it.

Why the hell was this made a thing? It’s outright useless, no one’s going to use this, especially not when the most common thing in internet security is to ‘not reveal your face’. The design that you showed in the image is outright awful, it looks completely unnatural to Roblox’s design, yet again striking us with an inconsistent design like how the different new studio systems are (for example: style sheet vs the entire other studio)

And yet this is what they spend MILLIONS of DOLLARS working on, but not the features on the DevForum that they ignore…
We literally don’t even have keyboard support on iPad OR the ability to mirror meshes
