Elevator jittering issue

He is very correct, I have used physics for an elevator previously and it works pretty much perfectly. I’m not super experienced with all the constraints, but here’s what you’ll wanna do: (sorry if this isn’t the best way to do it, but it still works fine)

  • Unanchor all parts of the model, and select one part at the root or base. Go ahead and make the model’s primary part to this part as well. Insert an attachment and an AlignPosition into the root part.
  • Either use a plugin or manually apply a Weld or WeldConstraint to each part so that each part is welded to the root part.
  • Move the elevator to the starting spot, and set the AlignPosition’s goal position, to the ending position.

Also, if you want it smoothly decelerating before ending like you said, then you can tweak the RigidityEnabled and force properties to where the elevator moves correctly but also partially slows down at the end.

Edit: this was my approach, but I don’t know that much about PrismaticConstraints and they might work better.
