I made a new thumbnail but I am not seeing it appear for some reason on dev forum
This is cLiCkBaIt
it js takes longer
I skimmed the article and didn’t see discipline mentioned. Discipline is really important. Helps you learn complicated tasks required for your game.
I don’t like this corporate art-style. It is very dystopian.
AI slop + elite devs know they will milk cash + 99% of the time I don’t finish a game is just because:
- I don’t know how to do something regardless of how long I try (may it be part of a system or an entire system)
- Something I have to do is not on my skill set (vfx, building, etc.)
That’s all. The unnecessary length of this post is crazy, not going to lie.
The actual answer is stop taking advice from developers who aren’t successful, especially when the only type of content they have the ability of releasing takes zero effort to make.
Oh and to check, just take a look at their place visits.
I mean this isnt advice from me but rather about 30 articles online about different strategies. If you want I can cite them although it will be kind of a pain to backtrack
Articles are not studies, why would you cite them?
doesn’t have to be a study to cite stuff, it’s about knowing the source of the information, and if you cite an article, people can check the article, and the citations of the article itself
There are no negative impacts on adding citations
I personally agree the title is a little click bait, but I agree with the idea, these things do in fact help boost productivity to help you finish things faster, I acknowledged these facts a week ago, and was able to accomplish something that normally took me weeks, in a single day. Yes that does have to do with the fact I am better at programming, but my time was spent much better than I used to spend it.
You dont even need to follow all of the recommended strategies to do all this stuff, for instance in the section regarding stress and anxiety, you could go and take a short walk, but you can also just walk in a circle around your room (as I do) and it helps a ton.
Even if you dont do the full recommended thing it still helps, so no, you dont have to spend 2 to 3 minutes exercising ( ofc you should spend at least 20 minutes a day exercising to stay healthy, but thats for another time )
I dont think this makes you an elite though, but again, it most certainly boosts productivity.
Overall good post, thanks for your time!
You would see something like dis in one of those self improvement Discord servers dat charge u 120 dollars per month
The only truth is dat the finished games are simply good ideas, most of the things mentioned in dis post come with dis “good idea” Cause you have motivation to finish it
This is magnificent I love this
another reason why elite devs dont finish on their games is because they rely too much on AI
the trick they’re hiding is i have meds that barely work and they’re healthy
Finish on their games is crazy phrasing
I agree that the elite devs (like me) cant ever finish on our games because the ai overlords are always watching
Theyre out to get you. Theyre in your walls. Dont go outside; they’re waiting for you. Don’t eat that pizza its poisoned! Poison! Poison!
Is this Joke? It does not seem a related .
Just another low quality devforum post, Horrible title, AI Video, AI Text, AI Responses, This whole post sucks.
Where are these sources? You say theyre here, but theyre not. This is as good as me making a post about optimization and listing my sources as “optimization studies”.
Im not even trying to be mean, but if you cant provide an actual resource, then dont attempt to. Im tired of seeing so much bad ai on here, from complete post to replies.
