Finally! This will make a lot of things easier for lighting work. I do wish the limit could be higher but I also understand the complexity of keeping it performant at that scale, especially with the voxel-based lighting systems.

This feels like there’s a technical limitation that prevents lights from going farther than 120. I asked this when the property first snuck its way into the API dump, so I’ll ask again.

Will there ever be fixes for how light projections can appear when further away from the source?

Ima guess and say shadows probably lag a ton for large distances and there will probably be weird lighting artifacts left from far away but if you turn off shadow property on large range lights then it would probably have little issues.

How does the whole “larger lights are less performant” thing work in regards to surfacelights? I do occasionally use them on quite large parts, such as all the baseplates making up a lava ocean, that kind of thing. (I would assume scripting these to turn on or off as needed would not be as performant as just having them all on at all times, iirc you already can’t see dynamic lights past a certain distance?)
