My friend @12Clockstudio and I have been working on an obby for a while now. We would really appreciate it if you could try it out and give us some feedback!
We have fixed many bugs and added new features. That is why we are asking for your feedback again.
It’s good but is it good enough?
There’s so many obbies out there, and how does this differenciate from the others? Yes, it’s a difficulty chart, but there’s loads of those.
Maybe for an intense obby player, then it’s good. But if you’re advertising this to the “mass-market”, then there is nothing unique. No decor, nothing to entice anyone.
Nothing wrong with the game, but if you’re expecting to make profit on this, then…
Okay… That doesn’t change my point. You may be making profit short-term, however there is a larger margin for something that is unique. For many people, me included, it’s dull, which is why there are a high amount of dislikes to likes.
had no fun playing this, the difficulty is not consistent at all, you have relied on cheap difficulty tactics, and it feels like you have randomly placed objects without considering if they will fun to play through.
The game you made was created over a year ago, so this is how much you earned over the year? Or is it this month only
I suggest looking at other difficulty chart obbies for a bit of inspiration, preferrably the ones with higher ratings (>45%) and more players (>500 concurrent players)
Master’s difficulty chart obby is not bad, and there’s this no jumping difficulty chart obby which somehow got more than 20k concurrent players. They’re doing something right, maybe playthrough it and see what’s so unique about it
I’ll be honest, it is really, really bland. The building is sup-par, and the thumbnails are incredibly low quality and wont attract new players with an annoying rainbow trail and a “100k visits event” button that blocks the whole screen. There are a lot of really great DCOs out there, and they are just substantially better than this to be honest. I know I come off as mean in this post, but I genuinely want you to improve so you can reach that 1,000,000 benchmark and beyond. Good luck.
The button only appears once after you join for 30 seconds and then it tweens out of the screen. A lot of players press the button an play the event, which wasn’t the case without the button.
In all, I don’t like this game. There’s nothing outstanding nor appealing to me. To name one, the “Only one path is correct” stages are really annoying and boring. I even stopped play the game because of them. Anyway… here’s some other things that could be improved on.
1. There’s nothing confirming that I touched a checkpoint: Maybe add a stage selector / stage display or even a checkpoint animation.
2. I know this has already been addressed, but the “100K visits” UI is really annoying: Maybe reduce the time or add a close option.
3. To my knowledge, there is no way to mute the in-game music.
Anyway, that’s all I can recall. Good luck with development; hope you improve!
You have a double jump gamepass costing 25 robux, don’t you think its a bit too cheap? Its literally so easy to cheese everything with double jump.
The reason why people dislike DCO’s is because they’re terrible at obbies and they rage quit halfway. Try to find a way to keep people engrossed in your game. Etc. monthly challenges (just give people more of a reason to stay in your game rather than leaving)
