Feedback on Difficult Boss Fight?

Been working on this cool Boss Fight for the past couple days. If you can, could you please suggest critiques on these areas:

  1. The map (i got no idea what to do with it)
  2. Any new move ideas or FX changes for the boss
  3. Music ideas?

Looks pretty cool. What did you use for the particle effects? In particular, for the black particles emitting from the boss as he dies?

I think the fog is a bit much would look better toned down a slight. Other than that it looks great, love the sekiro inspiration lol

Funny thing is that there are no extra particles after he dies. The black ones you see are the ones he ways has. The textures are all squares, so I can send you the ID if you want. Thanks!

Thanks man! Sekiro was the main inspiration for this boss.
And with the fog, you’re right. I couldn’t even see the boss sometimes because of it lol

nice, is there going to be an actual design for the character or is it just blank?

It was originally just going to be blank to match its sword. Do u got any ideas for a design?

That’s fair! To be honest I got no clue either. This boss will just be an optional final boss

Sure, do you think you could explain the process as well? Is it just from a particle emitter with the texture? It’s a very nice effect

I was gonna say that this reminds me of Sekiro a ton, but you mentioned that that was the main inspiration LOL, love it.

I personally like the dark blank character. I do think that maybe some accessories that are tinted the same colour would add some more personality though.

I’m being 100% real with you right now, but this is the first Roblox sword combat I’ve seen that looks fun.

The boss fight is really nice! If I had to suggest anything it would be maybe some more types of moves for the boss or environmental stuff. For example halfway through he could do a spin that starts a dust storm making it more difficult to see and counters his attacks. Ofc I don’t know the type of battle you’re going for.

Also it’s sorta unrelated but I have to say 13 different keys for different attacks in a melee fight is CRAZY to me lmao

The bossfight is amazing and since you want ideas for the map i suggest adding a forcefield that locks you in a room and add some hills made of sand all around the boss with ruins on them.
(Might add some exemples for the map)

Thank you guys for the feedback!! I just read all of you guys ideas (they’re great!), and I’ll look to implement them in the future.

For now, I’ve finished polishing the fight and added both phases as well as the intro. Here are the results!
