Focus Navigation Library Release: Gamepad and Keyboard Helpers for Lua

This looks great!

Is there a way to get around using complicated ref logic for NextSelectionLeft etc?

Also,. it’s not an invisible frame that’s visible and moved around: it’s not in the DataModel and is instead just set as the SelectionImageObject on desired elements

no i know, they want to replicate it using studio elements and thats how you’d do so.

instead of relying on the built-in one, you could make your own selection system thats more suited to your game.

Whoops, looks like I did leave that detail out when I originally wrote this post! Edited for clarity, but yes, I meant to say that we added support in the app. You should now be able to move between games easily without having to tap, click, or put down your gamepad.

To my understanding, the answers to most of your questions will still be up to the developer based on our publishing settings. I’m not aware of changes to how we gate users from experiences that are currently limited to certain platforms, since for a large number of cases that still corresponds to the player’s input type.

That being said, we are trying to cover cases like the ones you mentioned with less traditional inputs on different devices and make Roblox more flexible across all platforms. These are great questions to be asking. I’ll check around at the company to see if anything is in the works
