I actually hate Roboto and use Stylebot to replace it wherever I see it. It’s just too thin for me and gives me a headache trying to read it.
Roboto is available in plenty of weights. It’s not the font’s fault if someone uses too light of a weight for what they’re doing.
@Den_S I second Source Code Pro! Would be very useful for consoles, table layouts, etc.
I was gonna suggest that too. Love the condensed versions.
Source code Pro does not seem useful to me. It’s named that way for a reason. It’s a font designed for writing code. YMMV.
I will look into Roboto.
Futura does not look great.
Any standard monospaced font would be great, something like Roboto monospaced.
- JollyGood
- Space Colony
- Cover Sans
- Delm
- Dez Petranian
Eurostile is a really nice font that is used in the popular Elite: Dangerous game. It looks “high tech” and I can see it fitting well with a lot of games like Phantom Forces for example.
- JollyGood
- Pixelar
- Cover Sans
- Baboon
- LCD SH
1: VTG Stencil
2: LCD SH
3: Baboon
4: Pixelar
5: Dez Petranian
The problem with that font is that it is a pay-per-use font. It would get really expensive.
Will we get support for symbols when this happens, too? e.g. ★
I just want a monospace font. Consolas. Or something simple like that, but still looks nice (e.g. not Courier New–that font is awful).
Another use case for a monospaced font is coding tutorials.
I’ve had this on my iPad for a while. Just gonna leave this here…

I think LCD SH is monospaced.
Dez Petranian, Jollygood, LCD SH, Pixelar and Cover Sans.
Love the variation.
So the ones getting added are JollyGood, Cover Sans, LCD SH, Decour Soft, and Pixelar?
RIP Delm lol oh well “JollyGood” enough for me lol
This is a bit of a necrobump, but is this still happening?
