Fragmented Robloxian bundle's body parts have multiple UV mapping issues that affect 2D Clothing use

The Fragmented Robloxian bundle has several issues with it’s UV map that make 2D clothing assets appear incorrectly on the body.

The most noticeable affected areas are on the Torso and the Right Leg.

Torso

The UVs for the front of the UpperTorso are pretty noticably offcenter compared to the UV on the default blocky body. This means clothing won’t appear as you’d normally expect on this torso. Additionally, the UVs of the top faces of the Torso do not align correctly with those of the top of the right and left arms, and appear stretched.

Right Leg

The Fragmented Robloxian bundle’s main gimmick is that small fragments of the body parts have broken off and are floating nearby each body part. In the places where the body has broken off, the selected skintone for the body part is shown on the interior. The Right Leg incorrectly has the interior UV mapped to a seemingly random area in the 2D clothing texture. Additionally, parts of the fragments’ interior faces on the Right Leg are also incorrectly UV mapped to a random area of 2D clothing. The affected interior faces of this body part should be showing the user’s selected skin tone to be consistent with the rest of the bundle’s body parts.

Misc

In addition to the specific UV issues mentioned above, several of the body parts’ fragments have small artifacts of 2D clothing that appear on them incorrectly. While not major, it would be really nice if these could be cleaned up. From just a quick glance, some of the affected areas that I notice include the floating fragments in the Right Arm, Torso, Left Leg, and Right Leg.

Expected behavior

2D clothing should display as you would expect it to on this body, and the interior areas where fragments have broken off of the body parts should consistently display the user’s selected skintone.

I’m really hoping to see the concerns here/in other bug reports are addressed soon, as the bundle presumably goes off sale today and I’m sure many people are holding off buying it until it’s fixed.

Thank you for flagging this.

We made a number of updates to the UVs to make it work better with 2D clothing. The issues reported here should all be fixed. But let us know if there are any more issues.

Thank you for the many improvements to the bundle! The last main thing that I’ve noticed is that the largest fragment coming off of the Torso still has misaligned UVs. Here’s images comparing the look on the bundle vs. the default blocky:

(Sorry to be a bit picky about the details, I’d just love to see this bundle be the best that it can be. I love it and would like to keep wearing it all the time in the future!)

No problem! We want this to be great too. Can you let us know which Shirt you’re using?

Here’s the shirt I’ve used in this post for testing:

Hello! I noticed earlier today that the bundle got updated once again. Unfortunately, it seems like with these updates, some of the artifacts on the torso that were previously fixed returned, and there are some remaining issues with the UVs for 2D clothing still even after the update to the torso. I feel bad pointing these out again, but just want to update for this thread:

Torso

It seems like the UVs were optimized for the shirt I linked specifically instead of the way 2D clothing actually aligns on the default blocky body. The misalignment of the checkerboard pattern, which displays as default clothing on the body part’s web page, makes the specific issues most apparent:

Additionally, the pattern appears stretched (most noticably on the back), and the size of the squares aren’t consistent when they should be uniform. Some of the 2D clothing artifacts on the fragments, and the interior of the body have returned, here are images of the ones I’ve noticed:

Right Arm

The UVs near the area where the body breaks apart on the front upper arm are slightly warped. I believe this isn’t an issue caused by the update, just one I never caught before. Not a huge issue, but I figured I would point it out.

I used this near 1:1 set of the default classic clothing pattern to make sure these issues don’t also exist on the default blocky body:

Thank you for your hard work put into fixing the issues with this bundle, these are the last few remaining flaws that I’d really love to see ironed out.
