I think he means in terms of global shadows since the only thing future is focusing on is local lights, there is a massive difference though lol
future allows lights to cast shadows. Nothing else. Turn your graphics settings up and put a part in front of the light beam. Test it in both ShadowMap and Future.

Your game has a very minimal amount of objects in it. As such, you will notice little to no differences switching between these two technologies.
I put spot light in baseplate and It didn’t show as it supossed.
