Maybe fix the “Contributor” role to where it allows Contributor’s to have access.

As far as I’m aware, you’ve never been able to do this. You have to give the whole role access unfortunately. If I’m wrong, please correct me.

Hey there,
seems like this is an duplicate of this Bug Report: Group Members unable to be added to Team Create ?

I believe if you want to give an individual person access you need to have them added as friend on Roblox. Though the alternative would be to just use group roles.

Right, this is working as intended. The only way to give group edit access is via the group role list at the top of the page. Not at the individual level.

If you want to add individual users for edit that aren’t your friends, you’d need to make a feature request.

That might be the worst messaging I’ve seen on a feature to this day.

This is branded as “Collaborators”, claims the missing condition is “Not in owner group”, but you’re saying the real issue is that they have to be on my Friends list? Yet the word “Friend” is mentioned nowhere…?

Sorry, to clarify:

For user-owned games, editors can only be added if they are friends.

For group-owned games, editors can only be added via role in the top of the page. Not via individual.

I’ll surface the specific text to the owning team, but it won’t change who can be added as a contributor to the game.
