I think this is recent. The Game window opens every time I upload a mesh.

Already reported this, however it is related to opening a place.
After loading into any published place, the game explorer window always makes itself visible. Closing it only removes it for the session of editing you’re in. Once you close the place and open it again, it reappears.
I’m on macOS 10.13.1 using the most recent version of Studio.
This is what I’m talking about:

The Game Explorer will open itself whenever you make a universe change, such as opening a place, adding a linked script, etc. This is a known issue that’s on our todo list.
