A hacky solution would be to set the Camera’s subject somewhere in front of the Character, since the render distance is calculated from that value.

I dont know if it might be a good solution for you, but in my case I want to make a solo/friends game, so I’ll make a “menu place” in the future and two copies of my “game place”, one with terrain.decoration on and shadowmap, and the other without decoration and using voxel lighting. Then on the menu place you will be able to choose if you want a performance boost or more graphics.
It is not possible to set Lighting’s technology via scripts, even if from the client.
Trying to do so will have an error saying:
“Technology is not a valid member of game.Lighting”
