So I’ve been working on some UI for a game, the theme I’d like for the UI, is kinda monoscape, old computer vibes, but it doesnt really fit that.
I was wondering if anyone had some tips to make it conform to that theme now, thanks!

Maybe try adding a title bad on top and some drop shadow for the text and such? Also make it opaque and a bit more darker. Try changing the font to some retro ish as well.
Also, make the text a bit more smaller, especially for the text that says the name of the items in the shop.
Anyways, looks great! First time seeing someone ACTUALLY have good padding and so I don’t have to be a piece of poop and whine about how bad the padding is. Good job mr- miss… froyo.
Thanks! Ill update on progress shortly.
Im glad UIPadding exists. Otherwise it’d still look like trash lol
Not really, offset property can replace it.
UiPadding just makes it easier.
I can see the monoscope, but i think you’re just missing the old computer vibes, maybe try photoshopping some old windows 95 UI to help fit your aesthetic ?
This UI looks good! Great job on it! I’d say make the text a different font, maybe more pixel-styled and square. How long did it take to create? What is the game it’ll be used in?
I don’t know if this is what you’re looking for, but I would. round out some edges with UI Corner, and make add a Blur when its opens to steer focus onto it
if you really are trying to go for the old computer vibes, color was a big aspect of those, nowadays it is usually one or two dull colors but if you look at this image,
there are all these vibrant colors on it such as the top blue top bar and all the icons being very colorful. If you look at the outlines as well they all have some sort of “depth” to it giving off the illusion of the ui being 3d. Otherwise looks great and easy to understand, good job
Maybe add this somewhat stripe effect, it’s gonna make the UI not too empty. I don’t really know how to make this in GUI, but I hope that there’s a way to make it!
I think its taken me an hour maybe? This is for a very spooky totally scary game lol.
I was considering this, but considering old OS systems seem to be more boxy, along with that doubt they had the technology to have blur lol
Worked on it a bit, I think its starting to look older?
I cant do the outline well, so if anyone has any tips on that, It’d be nice to know!
