Help! "This game may not function as intended. The developer needs to update the game."

Hey guys

Sorry that this has been posted before. I’ve tried all solutions, even used the search bar to try to find a working solution.

I know this has been an issue for people for the past few days or so, but I don’t know how to get rid of it.

Any ideas?
I’m trying to drop 10k in ads, but I can’t with this ugly warning :frowning:

P.S. I have filtering-enabled on and I’ve tried everything!!

I dont really have an experience with published games but I’m pretty sure this might work.

It’s usually because you have something on your game which is a bad practice or deprecated method;

Remote events errorroing out can also cause that, especially remote functions!

Usually when a remote function can be fired without any arguments and error out because of that;

Is your FilteringEnabled in Workspace set to true? Otherwise, try playing the game, sometimes I will have that warning pop-up for games that have 0 visits.

Yeah he does; thats true playing for a bit could solve that, I’ve seen that, but sometimes it’s remote functions, events too, I’ve had that issue before!

This has been an issue for me since FOR. EVER. Its just weird behavior from roblox’s end;

Yeah. It’s so odd. They removed experimental mode, so why does the error still exist? It confuses me!!

Ive played it for a while now. My game is quite new and has updated scripts. This has happened to my 5 other games too.

Have you taken a look at this yet? "This game may not function as intended" warning appearing on newly created games - #4 by green_mushroom
(The solution should fix your problem.)

Yeah. It appears to not work for me.
If it’s an error on my part and I’m playing the start place, and not the game, how could I correct that?

Play the game. Edit it a little bit. Publish. Play the game again. That should remove it.

  1. Check Workspace.FilteringEnabled is true
  2. Check no runtime errors occured

If you fix it, you’ll have to wait a day.

I remember hearing that people playing your game for a like a few seconds might make that appear. I have no idea how true this is, but try playing it for like 5 minutes.

Turns out, over time, about 2 MONTHS of waiting removes it. WOW.
