How do we know with my team if we are accepted? And if we are, how do we submit our game? (asking for future)

Hey @Christmas_Treasure, really excited for this! One quick question: If we hired someone for a minor contribution to the game during the development process, say a GFX artist for example, would we be disqualified from the competition?

Yup, you can! Until 11:59 Pm PST.
As long as you don’t have over 6 people it’s ok.
can you invite more people after you submitted the form?

I have a few questions!
Are we allowed to use our own premade models?
Are we allowed to use free decals from the toolbox?
Has it already started or do we have to wait for some sort of an announcement/message first?

Highly not likely, but are we going somewhere or is it a zoom party (more likely)?

When the gamejam is over how will they test / view the games we created?. They dont have a link to any of our games. to my knowledge
Will they release a new survey to fill out with the gamelink team and the same information as the first survey they posted to enter the gamejam?.

Hi, @Christmas_Treasure! I have a couple questions.
- Are we allowed to commission people for assets to use in our games, without officially enrolling them into the group?
example: commissioning a modeler or a gfx artist to make an asset - What does the “Participation Certificate” look like? (just curious)

As stated above in the FAQ’s, it said that they’ll release a survey where teams may enter in their submissions when the time comes. Now, looking back on the event dates saying it’ll close in the 30th, I bet it’s gonna be posted a day or more before that. Futhermore, think the games will be reviewed after the 30th of December up to January 7 since it’ll be announced at 8. However, don’t rely on my preference, I’m no staff member, just sharing my understanding of the thread.

Submissions for the Holiday Developing Challenge 2020 are now open! You will have until December 30, 2020 to submit your wonderful, wintery creations!
Remember, group submissions must be 3-6 users, as well as match the user list originally submitted in the initial survey. It’s important that all group members get credit for their effort!
Keep in mind that you have until December 30 to submit your games; we are opening submissions now so everyone has a good amount of time to get their games submitted!
