How Can I Prevent Light from Bleeding Through?

I’m going to try this too. Hope it fixed it since I’ve literally debated quitting

Placing a part above the rooms does not work. I’ve tried it.

I FOUND A FIX. put a part INSIDE of the wall, like this:

(it’s pretty awkard)
without:

I forgot if you replied in a dm, but did this solve your issue?

It slightly worked. However, there is another problem where the lighting is still not pitch black at night, even though the skybox is. I want EnvironmentDiffuseScale on because I want Brightness at zero.

Why can’t you keep it like that? This fix should work on your lighting settings.

It requires a huge opaque box put over the building.

i’m pretty stupid so i don’t understand what the problem is :sob: could you like send a screenshot showing me?

Sorry. I’ll explain it again.

To make your solution work, the parts need to be really thick for some reason. Especially the one for the ceiling. Since players will be able to go outside, it isn’t viable since they’ll see the huge parts on top of the building.

couldn’t you unload them when they go outside since they wouldn’t be paying attention to the inside lighting?

(also no idea why is has to be thick in your case)

I could, but when people from the outside look through the windows they see it.

i don’t think that is fixable, but i don’t think it’s that bad since the lighting would already look awful since they’re not inside so roblox would make the lighting look awful

I guess so. I just want the inside to be dark when brightness is 0.
