I need to know, preferably in depth, how I could create a mod system for players to upload, and use those uploaded mods.
I have an idea of how, but I don’t know if it would work, or how I could accomplish it.
My personal idea would to encode a model, and save that to a data store. I just don’t know how

You could probably use Module Scripts to get Certain Commands to function. and if you want, upload it to Roblox

Its been 2+ years…
Uhhh kinda late but roblox has made something close enough to that.
This method is likely subject to change as it uses an experimental feature.
Information in this post could get outdated at any day
Please be informed about Script capabilities | Documentation - Roblox Creator Hub
If you think that people can’t breach your sandbox and everything is safe now, Please think twice and check it a few more times.
The sandboxing model feature, while experimental and is lacking a lot of capability features, is already more than enough to make complete mod…
^ my post about how can you use sandbox capabilities for modding.
Althrough that would be very cool to see someone turn this idea into a sort of UI inside game where people can upload/share mods.
