How do I fix this fuzzy image outline?

(I’m sorry if I shouldn’t necrobump this, but I figured it made more sense to post this semi-tutorial in this thread. Please let me know if this should be a separate post instead.)

For other people with Paint.NET I’ve figured out how to remove the outlines if your image doesn’t have a white border. Using As8D’s solution will work if the edges of your image are painted white, but if your image has a different outline color, Roblox will just produce white outlines instead.

  • If your image is painted with white along the edges, use As8D’s solution because there’s less steps and it will give you the same results.
  • This will only work if your image has one color on the outside edges.
  1. Use the color dropper (select with K) to copy the color of the edge of your image. Ex. if your image is purple along the edges, click it to set your current color to purple.
  2. In the color window on the bottom right, drag your alpha transparency level all the way to the left so it says 0.
  3. Select the Fill Tool. (select with F)
  4. Click on the beaker on the top toolbar and select “Overwrite” from the pulldown menu.
  5. Click in the transparent part of your image.
  6. Double check your transparent pixels with the color picker (select with K) to make sure they match the border of your image.

For whatever reason, this took me a couple of tries to get it to work, but I was able to use this to get rid of white outlines on a black image I was trying to upload.

Still getting those dark shades of grey even after clearing the pixels.
