How do I make a seamless in place teleport

So basically, I am making an elevator but, in this situation, it will not be possible for me to make the elevator car move from point A to point B so I need to teleport the players.

I am not sure what to do I have tried a few things, but nothing has worked.

I want the players to be in the same place when they get teleported so that you can’t really notice.
