How do i stop stop the equipping of tools like a cooldown?

I haven’t worked with tools that much but I am finding that I now have to more and more so i was wondering how i can make it so that when u equip the tool u are unable to unequip it for some time like a cooldown and vice versa with unequipping.

You could try debouncing it with a cooldown, but to make it work the best you might need to disable the default backpack UI.

You can try using Humanoid:UnequipTools() every time the player tries to equip the tool. Example: local allowedToEquip = false -- whatever you want it to be local Tool = -- define it Tool.Equipped:Connect(function() local humanoid = Tool.Parent.Humanoid if allowedToEquip == false then humanoid:UnequipTools() end end)

i dont want to unequip it i want it to make it so that it cant be possible to equip it for some time

i dont think you can do that but the script that @BlueBloxBlast would run fast so i dont think you could use the tool, you cant even see it equipped
