Great. This is how you can now remove the background in paint.net:
First select the Magic Wand tool.
Now click the green area. Change the “Tolerance” value until you get all the green, then press the DELETE key on your keyboard. Your image now has no background.
Just export it as a .png and you’re set. My version still has a little bit of green around the edges but I did it quickly just to show you the steps.
Its not the item’s texture I’m trying to change; I need to make the item itself show up in an image label with a transparent background.
@wonderbvy You can also use KRITA which is free and is the software I use. KRITA can work on desktop and laptop.
