Our players feedbacked that our game is dislike botted. Is there a way to tell if the game is dislike botted or it’s just players disliking the game? What are signs we can look out for? Also, how does dislike bots work? For context, we used to have 70-80+ like% and after our visits spiked, our like rating went down to 37%. Now we have like 500K visits.
Typically on the eye.
You can hold a user feedback form campaign and heck if they like the game and comapre it with the visits and likes/dislikes ratio.
Basic logic, basically.
Oh that’s cool! Do you try to put the user feedback form in the game with like buttons or just send a form out to players?
You could send it around within your community, but you could also invite playtesters for example. They can give the most unbiased opinions. (Since they aren’t a part of your community)
Hello there, you may find that out looking at your active players, if there are a lot of players first, then they leave, and you see that your game got disliked. You can tell it might be botting. As of now, how long has your game been up? The player base is very good at being critical to a lot of games, which may be a reason. If your game gets disliked fast and a lot, it may also be botting. Other than that, I am not so sure.
Thanks guys for all the tips! Update on this:
We implemented a remote event to track bots based on this thread → Place botting explanation & ways to combat it
We detected bots for about 20.4% of our visits each day for the three days we tracked. And looking at a number of those player profiles, quite a few were only created on the day the player played our game.
This is pretty scary. Now it does feel like our game was dislike botted. Not too sure how to fix our ratings tho…
Contact roblox support, they got rid of the botted dislikes for me after like 1-2 months.
