How do you reset STUDIO UI

How do you reset the studio ui. I can’t get the properties below the explorer like it used to. The dragging makes it go “under” , but it takes up the whole screen

No way bro replied to a 1 year old post :skull:

Having the same issue, I used this “reset view” 4 weeks ago and it worked. No clue why it doesn’t appear now.

Me too! Man… could use some help right now…

-- Yes, they replied to a 1 year old post because the solution to the 1 year old post no longer applies and they need help. The reset view option is just, gone now for some reason.

I’m having layout issues as well, and I can confirm that Reset View is now gone with the latest update. I know it was removed very recently, because there’s a key in my Windows registry named Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Roblox\RobloxStudio\userLastResetView with the value 2024-10-07T15:01:01.943Z, less than two weeks ago. There are dozens of forum questions where “Reset View” was the only fix. Some of us are going to have serious problems if they don’t bring it back soon.

UPDATE: If you’re experiencing the specific issue mentioned in the OP, I actually found the fix! The general method is explained in this post from staff:

Drag the Properties window over the dock containing the explorer window until you see what looks like four squares arranged around a ‘+’ sign. Place your mouse pointer directly over the bottom square, then drop the window. This should create a split-pane view with the Explorer on top, and the Properties on the bottom. This general method also works for the bottom horizontal dock if you want to split it left-right. The trick is to choose one of those four squares in the ‘+’ arrangement. Otherwise, it just creates a tab.

To anyone that still need to use “Reset View” I found out how to get to it.

Step 1: Click on the small drop down arrow in the top bar next to “HOME”
Step 2: Under Advanced Customization hit “Customize…”
Step 3: In “All Actions” search for “Reset View”, click on it, then hit “Add >>”
Step 4: Now on the right side scroll down and click the check box next to “Reset View”, Then hit “OK”
Step 5: Finally click on the new Icon in the top bar (It should be to the left of the drop down arrow)

And there you have it Studio will now prompt you to restart.
